Purpose

This blog was created through the combined efforts of various doctoral and masters students pursuing degrees in Fisheries Research. As diverse as the field of fisheries science is, so too are our research interests and associated blog posts. Pelagic billfish. Marine invertebrates. Freshwater plants. You name it, we've probably studied it, and the purpose of our 'Reefs to Rivers' blog is to convey the latest research findings regarding fisheries here in Florida and abroad. More than just research, we'll share stories of the trials and tribulations associated with collecting fisheries data, life as a grad student, and general conundrums in fisheries research.
